Kolon Benit announced on the 31st that it has joined hands with Asiana IDT to fully expand artificial intelligence (AI) transformation (AX) business in the industrial safety sector. The two companies formalized their cooperation for the "Plan2Do Industrial Safety and Health Platform Solution Supply Business" through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony held on the 30th of this month.
Plan2Do, independently developed by Asiana IDT, is an AI-powered industrial safety and health platform that supports the entire safety management process at industrial sites — from planning (Plan) to execution (Do) and inspection (Check). It provides a seamless workflow covering safety and health management system establishment, risk assessment, post-inspection improvement and consulting integration, helping companies move away from traditional document-based safety management toward data-driven, field-execution-focused safety AX. In particular, the platform's AI safety officer function enables users to create risk assessment forms through chat and image-based interactions and identify additional risk factors from on-site photos to propose mitigation measures. It automatically generates TBM (Tool Box Meeting) safety training materials based on work plans for rapid sharing with field workers, and supports worker participation and training history management through a mobile app. With multilingual services covering 16 languages and cloud-based record management, the platform helps transform industrial safety management into a more efficient and systematic operation.
The two companies plan to strengthen the linkage between safety and health compliance checklists and practical field activities to enhance real-world applicability. By flexibly incorporating both standardized and customized checklists, they aim to enable client companies to naturally adopt the AI-based safety and health platform without significantly altering their existing safety management systems. They will also pursue integration with video-based safety monitoring solutions that connect CCTV-based hazard detection, manager response and follow-up reporting to advance a comprehensive safety management framework. The companies plan to conduct joint marketing and customer development targeting diverse industrial sites including manufacturing, construction, logistics, ports and industrial complexes.
"Asiana IDT will strive to prevent serious industrial accidents and build a safety culture through enhancing AI-based risk assessment and safety inspection functions of the Plan2Do platform," said Jeon Hae-don, executive director at Asiana IDT. "We will cooperate with Kolon Benit's industrial safety AX business to build customized safety management systems for clients."
Song Jae-hyung, director and head of the AX Center at Kolon Benit, said, "Kolon Benit will accelerate industrial safety AX by combining AI, mobile and cloud technologies to connect risk assessment, training and worker participation at industrial sites into a single integrated system." He added, "Based on our industry-specific consulting capabilities and customer touchpoints, we will help companies more easily upgrade their safety management systems and establish AX-based serious accident prevention frameworks."
