NHN Cloud said Tuesday it signed a business agreement with TmaxTibero, a database specialist, to build an artificial intelligence infrastructure ecosystem based on domestic Korean technology.
TmaxTibero is a software company that develops and supplies Tibero, a Korean-made database management system (DBMS), providing solutions across various industries including the public sector, finance and manufacturing. The company focuses on securing domestic technology to replace foreign DBMS products and holds numerous references from public institutions and large enterprises based on its large-scale transaction processing capabilities and stability.
Under the agreement, the two companies plan to combine their specialized capabilities to establish an AI infrastructure environment based on domestic technology and pursue joint business initiatives and market expansion.
Specifically, the partners will build an AI service environment linking NHN Cloud's GPU-based cloud infrastructure with TmaxTibero's DBMS. They also plan to jointly propose an integrated management structure for AI training and inference data alongside business operational data.
Furthermore, the two companies will jointly review AI infrastructure architectures capable of long-term operation in real business environments. They will also collaborate on developing data sovereignty, security and governance measures tailored to regulated industries such as the public sector and finance.
The partners also plan to jointly pursue sales and adoption proposals targeting data-intensive industries including the public sector, finance and manufacturing, focusing on building reference cases and securing success stories.

"Through this agreement, we will present a realistic data infrastructure environment that enables customers to operate and scale AI stably while meeting data sovereignty, security and regulatory requirements."
