Wemade, a South Korean game developer, will officially launch the global version of its massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) "Legend of YMIR" on PC gaming platform Steam on April 7.
Wemade said Friday that the Steam launch next month aims to improve accessibility for global PC users and attract new players. However, some blockchain features will not be available in the Steam version.
Legend of YMIR is an MMORPG that depicts an epic saga of warriors fighting to restore fate and order in a world plunged into chaos after the fall of the gods. The game features high-quality graphics built on Unreal Engine 5, overwhelming impact effects and action-driven combat with responsive controls.
A new class, "Rune Fighter," will be updated in the global version alongside the Steam launch. Rune Fighter is a melee combat class that equips gauntlets and greaves, focusing on punch-and-kick attacks. Its signature skill, "Barrier," enables strategic gameplay by enhancing allies' abilities while reducing enemies' combat efficiency.
Wemade also plans to add large-scale new content and events to deliver a more diverse experience for both existing and new users.
Legend of YMIR was first launched in the global market on October 28 last year through Wemade's blockchain gaming platform WEMIX PLAY. The company has been expanding user engagement through various global events, including the esports tournament "YMIR Cup World Championship" and the user invitation event "Partners Day."
More details on the Steam launch of Legend of YMIR are available on the game's official global website.
