
SOOP (067160.KQ), a Korean livestreaming platform, announced Friday that it will broadcast live the "UZI CUP," a League of Legends (LoL) tournament hosted by former Chinese professional player Uzi.
The UZI CUP is a LoL tournament personally organized and funded by Uzi, a former Chinese LoL professional player. The event is a veterans' league featuring former Chinese pro players, open only to teams with an average age of 24 or older.
The tournament began with a player draft on January 20, with the main stage starting on January 23 and the finals scheduled for February 3. SOOP will livestream all matches of the tournament. The total prize pool is 1 million yuan (approximately 185 million won), with the champion team receiving 660,000 yuan (approximately 122 million won), the runner-up 150,000 yuan, and the third-place team 100,000 yuan.
Former LPL casters "Atung" and "Longdari Coach" will join the broadcast as co-streamers, watching matches alongside viewers and providing real-time commentary and reactions.
