Kolon Benit announced Wednesday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Laon People for the joint commercialization of "HyFEN for Cloudera," a model that integrates Laon People's manufacturing artificial intelligence agent "HyFEN" with Cloudera's AI platform "Cloudera AI."
HyFEN is an AI agent platform that provides answers and analysis based on data from internal corporate documents and databases. By entering natural language commands based on manufacturing data, it supports real-time data-driven decision-making, including production yield checks, defect cause analysis, manufacturing condition verification and optimal production recipe recommendations. In particular, through its proprietary retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)-based search and step-by-step reasoning capabilities, HyFEN offers more sophisticated understanding and analytical insights from manufacturing data.
The partnership was pursued to deliver AI services optimized for manufacturing sites in a hybrid data environment that supports both on-premises and multi-cloud integration. Kolon Benit will propose a data platform integration model to enable AI agents to be effectively utilized in enterprise data environments. Based on this, the company plans to expand AI use cases targeting manufacturing firms. It also aims to leverage its experience in data and AI deployment for manufacturers and its extensive customer network to acquire new clients and expand its market presence.
Kolon Benit has been supporting data utilization and AI technology adoption. Going forward, the company plans to add AI agent technology to its end-to-end data analytics capabilities — spanning data collection, analysis and utilization across manufacturing platforms — to further broaden the scope of data utilization for its customers.
