Nexon announced on the 23rd that it has launched a collaboration event with BTS member Jin in its online game MapleStory. Following the first collaboration "Office Warrior Kim Seokjin" held in 2022, this second collaboration, titled "Office Warrior Kim Seokjin Returns," features Jin personally planning game events and items to celebrate MapleStory's 23rd anniversary. Videos capturing Jin's various activities — including participating in planning meetings and personally recording the voice for the NPC Jin character — will be released in four installments on MapleStory's official website and YouTube channel.
With this update, the collaboration event "Jin's Mystical Garden" runs through May 13. In the event, players collect growth fertilizer to nurture special seedlings discovered by NPC Jin. Rewards include the new item "Jin's Hyper Growth Potion," which instantly raises a character by one level when used by characters at levels 260–284, and the new item "Jin's Extreme Growth Potion," which instantly raises a character by up to 10 levels when used by characters at levels 200–259, along with "Premium EXP Exchange Coupons" and other generous rewards.
The growth fertilizer needed to redeem event rewards is earned on a board game consisting of 40 tiles, where players roll dice and move their piece to receive rewards based on the tile they land on. Players can obtain three dice once per day by pressing the in-game dice button, up to five times per week. All three dice are rolled at once, and players can choose which die to use for movement first. The board includes tile effects such as monsters and teleportation tiles, and players can also obtain special dice for strategic use. Additionally, based on cumulative dice usage, players can earn cosmetic items such as the "Mystical Garden Memory Outfit Set Exchange Coupon" and the "Gardener Jinroid Exchange Coupon," as well as growth-boosting rewards including "Jin's Extreme Growth Potion."
To commemorate the collaboration, Nexon is offering a variety of collaboration merchandise through June 17. New items include the "Jin Handwritten Damage Skin" featuring Jin's own handwriting, new cosmetic items reflecting Jin's personality, the collaboration beauty item "Serenade Hair & Plastic Surgery Coupon," a new stat-boosting coordi item set called the "Astral Serenade Package," and the "Jin Booster Package," which bundles character growth items for efficient progression.
