
Woongjin Freedlife has opened its first directly operated funeral hall in Seoul.
The company announced on the 4th that it opened "Shilnakwon Seoul Jejung Funeral Hall," the 16th location of its premium funeral hall brand "Shilnakwon," in Guro-gu, Seoul.
Shilnakwon Seoul Jejung Funeral Hall is the company's first directly operated location in Seoul. The facility spans a total floor area of 965 square meters (289 pyeong) and features six funeral rooms, including a 210-square-meter (63 pyeong) premium room that can accommodate up to 100 people. The hall also provides amenities for bereaved families, including a merchandise showroom, rest areas, a memorial ceremony hall, and a viewing room. It is located near Guro Station.
To mark the opening, Woongjin Freedlife is offering discounts on funeral rooms and advance consultations for local residents.
Since launching Shilnakwon, Korea's first specialized funeral hall brand, in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province in 2018, the company has expanded the brand to Incheon, Gyeonggi, Sejong, Osan-Dongtan, Hongcheon, South Daejeon, Galma Seongsim, Dangjin, Ilsan, Paju Unjeong, Nonsan, Pohang, Busan, and Yangsan, and now Seoul.
