'Stone Age' IP Returns as Idle RPG with Global Launch

Pearl Abyss's Black Desert Mobile is drawing users back with its first major remaster update featuring improved graphics and user interface. Netmarble's new mobile idle RPG "Stone Age Raising" has launched its global service. Com2uS Holdings expanded its action metroidvania "Fatal Claw" with three new regions in its first major update.

Pearl Abyss Black Desert Mobile Launches Remaster Update

Pearl Abyss has released the first phase of its "Remaster" update for Black Desert Mobile. The update focuses on enhanced gameplay environment, new adventure content, and faster progression. It includes graphics and UI improvements, along with new season content, the Mushin Tower system, and the Calpheon Knowledge Library. A second update is scheduled for May.

Graphics improvements include screen-space reflections (SSR) for water and metal surfaces, enhanced rendering, extended view distance, improved character display range, enhanced object and character representation, and support for up to 120 FPS. The UI now features position and size adjustment, undo and redo functions, and various guide displays.

The company also launched a PC client, offering promotional rewards including 10 Glory Road Season 10 entry tickets, 50,000 breakthrough restoration coupons, 5,000 Light Holy Water, and 50,000 Adventure Tokens through April 28.

Netmarble Launches 'Stone Age Raising' Globally

Netmarble's new mobile idle RPG "Stone Age Raising" has officially launched globally, excluding China and select countries.

Stone Age Raising is the latest title based on the "Stone Age" IP, which has attracted 200 million players worldwide. The game preserves the original's appeal of charming pet companions including dinosaurs while featuring simplified, intuitive systems for casual play. Core content such as "capture" and "mount" mechanics have been reimagined for mobile platforms.

Players can combine up to six trainers and 18 pets to create massive 24-unit decks. Popular original pets including Mogaros, Berga, and Yangiro return with enhanced designs. The game features various competitive and cooperative content including large-scale raid "Advent Battle," competitive "Sky Tower," real-time "Fish Farm," and cooperative "Mecha-Pet Hunt."

Com2uS Expands 'Fatal Claw' with New Regions

Com2uS Holdings has released the first major update for action metroidvania "Fatal Claw," currently in early access.

The update adds three new regions: Black Ravine, featuring dark valleys and massive remains; Owl Quarry, a historic mining site for the "Recording Stones" used by the Ellard Kingdom; and Higasha Permafrost, a mysterious frozen land at the kingdom's eastern edge that provides key story elements.

The new regions introduce non-linear gameplay with multiple exploration routes, enhancing the exploration and progression elements characteristic of the metroidvania genre. Another major expansion is planned before full release.

Seven Knights Re:BIRTH Partners with Samsung for Galaxy Theme

Netmarble's collection RPG "Seven Knights Re:BIRTH" has partnered with Samsung Electronics to release a special Galaxy theme celebrating the Galaxy S26 series launch. The theme features the popular character "Idol Yeonhee" and includes custom app icons, wallpapers, alarm sounds, and ringtones.

Crimson Desert Wins 'Most Anticipated Game' at China's 17173 Awards

Pearl Abyss announced its open-world action adventure "Crimson Desert" was selected in two "Most Anticipated Game" categories at the 17173 Game Awards, hosted by leading Chinese gaming media outlet 17173.

The game was named both "Most Anticipated Game by 17173 Users" and "17173 Editor's Choice Global Anticipated Title." In the user-voted category, Crimson Desert and GTA 6 were the only international titles selected.

Crimson Desert is scheduled for worldwide release on PC and console platforms on April 20 (Korea time). Pre-orders are available through the official website for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Apple Mac, and Epic Games Store.
