The 17173 Game Awards is an annual year-end ceremony where 17173 selects winners through user voting and editor evaluations for games that garnered attention throughout the year.
Crimson Desert was named in two categories: "Most Anticipated Game Selected by 17173 Users" and "17173 Editor's Choice Global Anticipated Title."
In the user-selected Most Anticipated Game category, Crimson Desert and GTA 6 were the only international games chosen. The remaining selections consisted of Chinese games. The "17173 Editor's Choice Global Anticipated Title" category included other major global titles such as GTA 6, Marathon, and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.
Crimson Desert expanded its reach with Chinese gamers last year through participation in BilibiliWorld and ChinaJoy. During these events, the Crimson Desert booth drew long queues, demonstrating strong interest from local gamers.
Crimson Desert is scheduled for worldwide release on PC and console platforms on the 20th (Korea time). Pre-orders are available through the official website, with the game launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Apple Mac, and Epic Games Store.
