Naver Cloud's artificial intelligence collaboration tool "Naver Works" has been selected as the official collaboration platform for the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
Naver Cloud announced on the 4th that the selection followed a three-month pilot service for select central government agencies that began in November last year. The selection is part of the "Intelligent Work Management Platform" project utilizing the pan-government AI common infrastructure jointly promoted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Ministry of Science and ICT.
Naver Works is provided as a Software-as-a-Service certified under the Cloud Security Assurance Program (CSAP), enabling public servants to safely adopt generative AI in their work within the security-critical government network.
The platform also demonstrated overwhelming competitiveness in user convenience. Naver Works features an intuitive interface designed for immediate use without additional training. It received positive reviews for allowing access to all services without installing a dedicated app. Approximately 9,500 public servants reported improved work efficiency after the pilot service concluded.
Building on this achievement, Naver Cloud plans to expand the service to more than 700,000 public servants including central ministries, solidifying its AI transformation leadership in the public sector. The company aims to continuously upgrade its hyperscale AI model for the pan-government Naver Works and add multimodal capabilities within the year to build an advanced AI administrative environment covering both text and images.
"As the Ministry of the Interior and Safety oversees key public services including Government24 and the National Secretary service, we expect this adoption to lead to work innovation across the entire public sector," said Kim Yu-won, CEO of Naver Cloud. "Beyond service adoption itself, we will devote all our efforts to supporting administrative innovation where AI becomes routine for all agencies."
