Korean sales experts 86% "AI agent investment essential"

Eighty-six percent of Korean sales professionals currently using AI agents consider investment in the technology essential for achieving business objectives, according to a new report.

Salesforce released its "Global Sales Trends Report" on Wednesday, surveying 4,500 sales professionals across 22 countries including South Korea. The report analyzed AI agent adoption status, usage patterns, revenue strategy changes, and technology and data environments.

According to the report, approximately 90% of sales organizations are already using AI agents or plan to adopt them within the next two years. Notably, 94% of sales leaders who have implemented AI agents rated the technology as a critical element for achieving business objectives. High-performing sales organizations were 1.7 times more likely to use AI agents for prospecting compared to their lower-performing counterparts.

Similar trends were observed in the Korean market. Among domestic sales professionals using AI agents, 86% said investment in the technology is essential for achieving business objectives. Additionally, 85% of respondents utilizing agentic AI said the technology increases the likelihood of meeting sales targets.

Korean sales organizations most frequently deploy AI agents for "opportunity management" and "order fulfillment and management," followed by "product usage tracking."

The report also highlighted the importance of integrated platforms. Fifty-one percent of sales leaders using AI said technology fragmentation has delayed or limited AI adoption, while 46% of sales representatives using agents reported that data quality issues negatively impacted sales performance. Consequently, 84% of sales teams not using all-in-one platforms said they plan to integrate their technology environments and data to maximize agent performance.

"This report suggests that the 'agentic enterprise' model—where humans and AI agents coexist and collaborate organically—is no longer optional but essential," said Park Se-jin, Country Manager of Salesforce Korea. "Salesforce will continue to support companies in achieving predictable revenue growth through integrated platform-based data strategies and agent capabilities built on partnerships with world-class enterprises."

Salesforce is responding to these market changes through Agentforce Sales (formerly Sales Cloud), Data 360, and Agentforce, which integrate dispersed customer and sales data and enable AI agents to manage pipelines while reflecting real-time context.
