Toss Bank CEO Lee Eun-mi has been reappointed to lead the internet-only bank for another term.
The bank's Executive Nomination Committee announced on the 3rd that it had nominated Lee as the sole candidate for the next CEO at a meeting held on the 27th of last month at Toss Bank's headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The committee said Lee had achieved qualitative growth in profitability over the past two years by improving the loan portfolio through expanded guaranteed loans and diversifying the product portfolio. Toss Bank recorded cumulative net profit of 81.4 billion won through the third quarter of last year, putting it on track to post record annual earnings.
"CEO Lee's outstanding management capabilities and her focus on four core pillars—growth, profitability, sustainability, and soundness—played a decisive role in propelling Toss Bank forward during her tenure," said Chung Yoon-mo, chairman of the nomination committee.
Born in 1973, Lee previously served as Chief Financial Officer at DGB Daegu Bank before joining Toss Bank as CEO in 2024.
Her reappointment is expected to be finalized at the annual shareholders' meeting and board meeting on the 31st.
