Nexon and Lotte World will host a spring festival featuring the MapleStory intellectual property at Lotte World in March.
Nexon announced on Monday that it will collaborate with Lotte World to hold a large-scale spring festival called "MapleStory in Lotte World" at Lotte World Adventure in Jamsil, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
The collaboration will run for approximately three months from March 14 to June 14, ahead of the official opening of "Maple Island" in April. Visitors can explore the MapleStory universe created throughout Lotte World Adventure and enjoy various missions.
In the indoor "Hero Recruitment Zone" at Adventure, visitors can summon their MapleStory characters via QR code or customize their own characters. The zone will also feature a photo spot called "Find the Missing Pink Bean!" showcasing the collaboration's storyline. Popular MapleStory locations such as "Henesys" and "Arcana" will be recreated in the outdoor Magic Island area, while seasonal castle mapping will transform Magic Castle into a MapleStory theme during evening hours. The interior of Magic Castle will feature interactive spaces including retro games and photo zones. Additionally, in April, MapleStory characters and dancers will join the parade, and new photo sessions with popular MapleStory characters will be introduced.
Exclusive merchandise and food items available only during the collaboration period will also be unveiled. Collaborative products including headbands, plush toys, and keyrings will be released sequentially, along with food items such as "Orange Mushroom Cheese Bread," "Slime Cream Mochi," and "Red Potion" and "Blue Potion" beverages that bring in-game items to life. Package deals combining all-day passes with buff LED magnets will be sold through Lotte World's official app and website.
Nexon will officially open Maple Island, spanning approximately 1,980 square meters within Magic Island—the outdoor section of Lotte World Adventure—in April. The new area will feature three new attractions including a family roller coaster, as well as a gift shop with exclusive merchandise, food and beverage outlets, and photo zones.
