LS Electric is showcasing future-oriented integrated automation solutions, including its "AI Factory," while emphasizing its manufacturing artificial intelligence transformation (AX) capabilities.
LS Electric announced on the 3rd that it will participate in "Smart Factory + Automation World 2026 (AW 2026)," Asia's largest smart factory and automation industry exhibition, held at COEX in Seoul from the 4th to the 6th.
LS Electric will present a Korean-style next-generation AI Factory model, a new programmable logic controller (PLC) product for smart factory control solutions, and an AI-based industrial automation platform in the largest exhibition space among participating companies, totaling 270 square meters (30 booths).
The AI Factory model is a future-oriented factory that standardizes, collects, and integrates factory equipment data for AI analysis to simultaneously enhance productivity and quality. It maximizes operational efficiency by detecting abnormal signals from equipment early and predicting potential failures (predictive maintenance), while also reducing defect rates, energy consumption, and carbon emissions simultaneously. Real-time monitoring and control are also possible through digital twin technology. LS Electric has completed verification of this model by implementing it at L&F's Guji plant in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, through the "ABB Demonstration Factory" project.
The company will also unveil its new high-performance PLC product "SU-CM70" for the first time. LS Electric's high-performance PLC dramatically increases processing speed, enabling a single PLC unit to control multiple devices simultaneously, making it suitable for high-speed, complex line control. Additionally, its software-centric design allows customers to expand functions according to their requirements.
Furthermore, the company will showcase AI-based industrial automation platforms, including "LS SHE with AI," a safety monitoring system that detects hazards at industrial sites using AI vision; "LS Factory Black Box," which detects and records process abnormalities in real-time and analyzes causes based on AI; and a "conversational AI equipment diagnosis" solution based on large language models (LLM).
Through this exhibition, LS Electric aims to leverage its automation technology expertise—which built the globally innovative "Global Lighthouse Factory"—to propose innovative solutions that can strengthen the manufacturing competitiveness of domestic mid-sized and small enterprises, thereby accelerating its automation business both domestically and internationally.
