Kim Yi-tak, First Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, visited the Incheon Gyeyang and Bucheon Daejang public housing districts—the first among the 3rd-generation new towns to begin move-ins—and emphasized that "we will prepare thoroughly to ensure residents experience no inconvenience."
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 3rd that Vice Minister Kim visited the Incheon Gyeyang and Bucheon Daejang public housing districts to comprehensively review move-in preparations, thaw-season safety management, and measures to accelerate project progress. Move-ins at the Incheon Gyeyang A2 and A3 blocks (1,285 households) will begin this December, marking the first occupancy among the 3rd-generation new towns.
Vice Minister Kim instructed officials from Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) and other related agencies: "Given the high public expectations for the first move-ins at the 3rd-generation new towns, please conduct thorough inspections until move-ins are complete, operate one-stop support centers to prevent any inconvenience during the move-in process, and make every effort to ensure residents can experience a premium new town."
He continued: "As the thaw season brings increased risks such as ground weakening across the project sites, we must conduct advance inspections of vulnerable areas and strengthen safety measures to fundamentally prevent accidents." He added, "Maintain a rapid on-site management system to respond immediately if any abnormal signs are detected."
Vice Minister Kim also stated: "Since housing supply is directly linked to public livelihood stability, please proactively identify and resolve factors causing delays—from planning to construction—to ensure the current government's goals of expanding and accelerating housing supply are achieved without setbacks."
