Kakao Mobility announced on the 3rd that it will jointly conduct a campaign with the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency to strengthen crime prevention and traffic safety.
The campaign was designed to raise public awareness about crime and safety issues closely related to citizens' daily lives. The Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency is responsible for planning and producing public interest content containing messages on crime prevention, including voice phishing and fraud, as well as traffic safety. Kakao Mobility will disseminate the content using its digital advertising network and platform infrastructure.
The public interest content focuses on introducing frequently occurring crime cases and specific prevention methods to help citizens more easily recognize risk factors in daily life and enhance the effectiveness of damage prevention. A key feature is the combination of policy messages and field storytelling by incorporating both the National Police Agency's nationwide common campaign and the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency's locally-focused content.
The content has been broadcast since late last month through 'Kakao T RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment).' Kakao T RSE is a medium that provides various information and content through tablets installed in the back seats of affiliated taxis nationwide.
Both parties plan to continue strengthening public-private cooperation in crime prevention and traffic safety following this collaboration. They intend to regularly co-plan public interest campaigns and continue platform-based digital promotional cooperation, such as delivering useful policy information to citizens through Kakao Mobility's various platforms.
Ryu Geung-sun, CEO of Kakao Mobility, said, "I find it meaningful that we can contribute to activities that strengthen citizen safety through the infrastructure of our mobility platform," adding, "We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities that leverage the strengths of our mobility platform."
