Kakao (035720) announced on the 3rd that it is expanding its KakaoTalk mobile electronic document service in partnership with the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS).
Through this partnership, users can now receive more than 300 types of notices and bills issued by NHIS via KakaoTalk, including health checkup forms, infant health screening notices, metabolic syndrome notices, out-of-pocket refund application notices, and regional subscriber status change notices.
Users can receive documents through KakaoTalk notifications without installing a separate app or registering for membership. When viewing documents, users can securely verify their identity using Kakao Certificate.
"By delivering documents closely related to people's daily lives, such as health checkup forms, through KakaoTalk, we have significantly improved access to public information," said Kim Jae-heon, Leader of Kakao's Wallet Business Team. "We will continue to expand cooperation with public institutions to enhance public convenience and improve administrative efficiency."
Kakao, designated by the Ministry of Science and ICT as an authorized electronic document intermediary, currently provides electronic document services to approximately 480 public, financial, and private institutions.
