NHN Cloud presented Korean cloud adoption cases and artificial intelligence infrastructure technology to Japanese information technology executives and government officials.
The company held a briefing session for Japan's Advanced Information Society Inspection Delegation at its Play Museum headquarters in Pangyo, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, on the 26th, NHN Cloud announced on the 27th. The delegation's visits to Korea began in 2002, with cumulative participants exceeding 5,000. This year, 19 representatives from seven major Japanese companies and public institutions attended, including Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Tokyo Gas iNet, and Ryobi Systems.
At the briefing, NHN Cloud introduced cloud transition cases and results applied across various industrial sectors including public and financial services. The company emphasized its stable service operation capabilities, particularly focusing on its GPU infrastructure development business. Reflecting the specific needs of the Japanese market, NHN Cloud presented practical cooperation models including SaaS infrastructure transition strategies, infrastructure support plans for Japanese companies entering the Korean market, and flexible and cost-effective pricing structures based on OpenStack. The parties discussed concrete implementation measures.
The company also highlighted its GPUaaS business status and the infrastructure capabilities of its global data centers, including the Gwangju AI Data Center and Daegu PPP (Public-Private Partnership Data Center) built through government cooperation projects, as well as overseas regions including Japan.
The delegation is visiting a total of 11 major companies and institutions including the National Assembly, Seongdong District Office, Seoul City Gas, and Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. NHN Cloud was the only cloud specialist company included. The delegation carefully examined cloud transition cases and efficiency gains at Korean public institutions while exchanging views on how to reference NHN Cloud's strategies when implementing similar systems in Japan.
Yeom Jong-soon, head of the delegation and professor at Meiji University, said, "This visit is significant in that it provided an opportunity for Japanese officials to directly experience and compare services. We expect to bring this to business discussion tables in Japan and explore concrete cooperation."
An NHN Cloud official said, "It is meaningful to share NHN Cloud's stable service model, cloud design methodology that meets security requirements, and AI data center operation know-how with key figures leading the Japanese IT industry. We will strengthen partnerships with major Japanese companies."
