Lotte Innovate announced on the 25th that it will begin full-scale work on an edge data center project with Igis Asset Management.
Under this project, Lotte Innovate will handle the entire DBO (Design-Build-Operate) process. The approach goes beyond simple construction to include post-completion maintenance and operations.
The data center will span nine floors above ground and one basement level, with a power capacity of 9.9MW. The target completion date is December 2028.
The facility is an "edge data center" designed to immediately serve demand near urban and business districts. With low latency and high operational efficiency, it is expected to effectively absorb the rapidly growing demand for distributed IT infrastructure.
By managing the entire DBO process, Lotte Innovate plans to minimize development risks while incorporating operations-focused optimization from the initial construction phase to ensure both stability and efficiency.
Lotte Innovate has been expanding its DBO business. In November 2025, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Ace Air Conditioning to collaborate on high-efficiency HVAC and cooling solutions for edge data centers. In December of the same year, it signed a data center operations management contract with Camsquare, enhancing its operational standards and service capabilities.
Through this Igis Asset Management data center, Lotte Innovate aims to achieve power and space efficiency optimized for urban edge demand along with high availability. The company plans to accelerate additional project wins and expand its operations business based on accumulated DBO expertise.
"We will leverage our full-cycle integrated capabilities from early development through operations as a core competitive advantage, further strengthening our market responsiveness and quality competitiveness amid the shift toward distributed and intelligent data infrastructure," a Lotte Innovate official said. "Going forward, we will continue to expand our DBO-based references spanning edge, hyperscale, and AI data centers to lead the market."
