LG Uplus (032640) will showcase ixi-O Pro, the next-generation version of its artificial intelligence call application ixi-O, at MWC26. The company plans to expand the service beyond simple call recording into a communication partner that understands customers.
LG Uplus announced on the 23rd that it will unveil ixi-O Pro, its future AI assistant service, at MWC26 in Barcelona, Spain on March 2 (local time).
ixi-O Pro is a next-generation AI call assistant that comprehensively understands users' daily data including calls, texts, and schedules, and proactively suggests context-appropriate information. While the existing ixi-O responded to customer requests, ixi-O Pro's core function is understanding conversation context and relationships to guide users with necessary information. For example, even without users specifically summoning ixi-O, it will organize and notify them of schedules or tasks mentioned in previous calls, and provide real-time answers to questions that may arise during calls.
LG Uplus will also unveil a collaborative framework to enhance "safety," the foundation of its human-centered AI. The telecommunications-finance voice phishing real-time response system with KB Kookmin Bank links ixi-O's AI voice phishing detection technology with KB Kookmin Bank's abnormal transaction monitoring system to block suspected phishing signals detected at the telecommunications stage before financial transactions occur. ixi-O detects suspected voice phishing patterns, malicious app installations, and dangerous URL access in real time, sharing this information with KB Kookmin Bank. KB Kookmin Bank integrates this with its own monitoring system to track abnormal transactions and implements preemptive customer protection measures such as account payment suspension when necessary.
"ixi-O is evolving from an AI that simply processes customer call data into a hyper-personalized AI assistant that understands customer context and proactively offers help," said Choi Yoon-ho, Executive Vice President and Head of AI Business Group at LG Uplus. "Through the new features and financial sector collaboration showcased at MWC26, we will establish new standards for customers to use AI services with confidence."
