Korean game publishers are capturing user attention with diverse collaboration content leveraging intellectual property from other companies.

According to industry sources on the 22nd, Netmarble has been rolling out successive collaboration events sharing IP with other game publishers. Unlike conventional collaborations that feature characters from animations or comics, these partnerships are distinguished by introducing characters from separate game franchises.
"King of Fighters AFK," a character-collecting mobile role-playing game, has added "Eri Kasamoto," "Marco Rossi," and "Fio Germi" from "Metal Slug 3" as new fighters. Both the King of Fighters and Metal Slug series are flagship titles from Japan's SNK.
Special events have been prepared to commemorate the collaboration. During the collaboration period running through February 10, players can earn rewards simply by logging in. On day one, legendary fighter "Marco Rossi" is given, and on day seven, legendary pet "Pocket SV-001" — modeled after the tank combat vehicle from the Metal Slug series — is distributed.
Netmarble is also conducting a collaboration project between its action game "Solo Leveling: Arise" and Epic Games' flagship title "Fortnite." Through February 2, players can access character skins of "Sung Jinwoo," "Cha Hae-in," "Igris," and "Kaisel" from "Solo Leveling: Arise" within Fortnite, along with various outfits, accessories, and emotes.

Kakao Games has launched a second collaboration update between mobile RPG "Guardian Tales," developed by Kong Studios, and the popular animation "Clevatess: The Demon King, the Baby, and the Corpse Hero."
Through this update, limited hero "Corpse Hero Alicia" and an exclusive weapon will be available until February 5, while special costume "Alicia of the 13 Heroes" will be sold during the event period. A "Boss Rush" mode is also available, where players can challenge bosses from the collaboration short story collection and earn rewards based on their scores.
Com2uS is implementing a "Trial Tower" update in "Summoners War: Sky Arena" offering opportunities to obtain "The Lord of the Rings Summoning Scrolls." Through February 15, clearing floor 50 of the Trial Tower on normal difficulty rewards players with one "The Lord of the Rings Summoning Scroll," which guarantees a collaboration character.
