Douzone Bizon (012510) is joining forces with FuriosaAI to commercialize AI solutions based on domestically developed artificial intelligence semiconductors.
Douzone Bizon announced on the 19th that it signed a memorandum of understanding with AI semiconductor company FuriosaAI at Douzone Eulji Tower in Jung-gu, Seoul, for "global commercialization of NPU-based AI solutions." NPU, or Neural Processing Unit, is used for generative AI development and offers advantages over GPUs including lower power consumption and superior AI inference and computing capabilities. FuriosaAI, an AI chip design company founded in 2017, recently began mass production of its second-generation chip Renegade (RNGD) following the commercialization of its first-generation computer vision NPU.
The partnership builds on successful collaboration between the two companies, including their joint participation in the "2025 AI Semiconductor Overseas Demonstration Project." The companies agreed to pursue technical cooperation and create joint references aimed at domestic and international commercialization of AI solutions based on Renegade.
Both companies will focus on running and applying Douzone Bizon's ONE AI on FuriosaAI's NPU environment. In sectors such as public services and finance where security and stability are critical, infrastructure configuration must consider not only AI service performance but also power efficiency and operational efficiency. The companies plan to validate these factors using Renegade-based infrastructure. They will conduct objective verification of domestic NPU-based AI service performance and throughput relative to power consumption in actual service operating environments, with results confirmed through a trusted third-party verification system. Through this effort, both companies expect to demonstrate the operational efficiency and cost competitiveness of AI services integrated with domestic NPUs. They also plan to jointly establish the technical foundation for commercialization and market expansion in domestic and international markets.
Through this partnership, Douzone Bizon has secured an independent AI infrastructure option using domestic AI semiconductors, reducing dependence on expensive foreign GPUs. FuriosaAI plans to expand its customer base through Douzone Bizon's enterprise clients and leverage application cases and feedback from core business operations for future market development.
A Douzone Bizon official said, "This agreement will be an important turning point for the self-reliance of domestic AI technology and strengthening global competitiveness." The official added, "We expect to create an efficient and highly reliable global AI business model by combining Douzone Bizon's AI solution capabilities with FuriosaAI's semiconductor technology."
