LG CNS has become the second company in South Korea to obtain domestic reseller rights for OpenAI's enterprise services. The company is establishing a dedicated OpenAI organization to aggressively pursue the corporate artificial intelligence transformation (AX) market.
LG CNS announced on the 18th that it has begun full-scale sales operations as an OpenAI reseller partner. An OpenAI reseller partner is an authorized collaborator granted the right to resell enterprise OpenAI services such as ChatGPT Enterprise. Samsung SDS was the first OpenAI reseller partner in Korea, with LG CNS now becoming the second to obtain this status.
According to IT industry sources, LG CNS signed a reseller partner agreement with OpenAI last year, but the partnership only recently took effect. Previously, LG CNS held only service partner status with OpenAI. Service partners can support enterprise customers with the adoption and operation of OpenAI's enterprise services but cannot directly resell OpenAI services.
With the launch of its OpenAI reseller partner business, LG CNS has established a new dedicated organization called the "OpenAI Launch Center." The center will provide pre-consultation, technical support, and system implementation services for enterprise customers adopting ChatGPT Enterprise. The company also plans to conduct training programs for client employees after ChatGPT Enterprise installation. The OpenAI Launch Center comprises AI developers and consultants, with OpenAI engineers also participating in the collaboration.
Additionally, as an OpenAI service partner, LG CNS plans to develop customized AI agents for clients using OpenAI's integrated application programming interface (API).
