Nexon announced on the 13th that it will implement a major update for its massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) 'Mabinogi Mobile' in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday.
The company will first expand the difficulty level of Tavarthas Raid, a cooperative combat content, to 'Very Hard.' This difficulty level features enhanced strategic elements including new boss buffs, skill changes, and major pattern adjustments, providing an intense combat experience. The 'Very Hard' difficulty is scheduled to open at 6 a.m. on the 16th.
Nexon will also introduce a 'Cross-Server Party Matching' feature that allows users to form parties with players from other servers and challenge dungeons together. Additionally, players can obtain various rewards including gold, gem prisms, and rune fragments through special daily loot dungeons—'Grave Robber Supply Cache,' 'Raider Carriage Storage,' 'Demon Secret Altar,' and 'Abandoned Rune Ruins'—which offer special rewards for two weeks.
A 'Relationship System' that strengthens bonds between users will also be added. Users can directly designate their relationships with friends, and those who become special partners can enjoy exclusive effects and benefits such as 'Teleport.' The update also introduces new two-person actions including 'Princess Carry' and 'Couple Dance.'
Nexon is also holding in-game events for the Lunar New Year and Valentine's Day. In the 'Jarupeo Wants to Eat, Meow' event, players can exchange currency earned from various Lunar New Year-themed events until March 5 for special items including the 'Hanbok Set of Quiet Morning,' Lunar New Year-exclusive actions such as 'Lucky Pouch,' 'Top Spinning,' and 'Kite Flying,' as well as 'Unknown Accessory Rune: ★8 Fragment' and 'Unknown Weapon Rune: ★8 Fragment.'
Until 5:59 a.m. on February 12, players can help NPC Kaitlyn through daily attendance and gathering activities to craft chocolate or choco cookie gift sets, which can be exchanged for various event gifts at NPC shops.
