Euisikju Company, operator of contactless mobile laundry service Laundrygo, announced it will conduct a bedding wash donation campaign called "Laundry Mate" in partnership with ChildFund Korea, a child welfare organization.
The campaign aims to improve sleeping conditions for children in protective care facilities that lack large-scale laundry equipment for washing bedding.
The campaign runs through March 8 and is open to all Laundrygo users. Participants can join by leaving an encouraging message for children in care on the event page within the Laundrygo app. Each message will result in one bedding wash donated to a child care facility. Participants will receive a donation certificate.
"We planned this campaign to help wash children's bedding through Laundrygo's laundry infrastructure," said Shim Heon-ho, head of Euisikju Company's business support division. "Based on our belief that clean clothes and bedding improve quality of life, we will continue social contribution activities that engage Laundrygo users."
Laundrygo operates in major cities nationwide including Seoul, the greater Seoul metropolitan area, Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, Sejong, and Ulsan. As of January, the company recorded 1 million cumulative members, 5.6 million cumulative orders, and 40 million items of laundry processed.
