1. Smileshark Earns Top AWS Certification for SMB Cloud Support
Cloud managed service provider Smileshark was named AWS SMB Top Engager 2025, becoming a representative partner for the Asia-Pacific region. AWS selects only two partners per continental region from more than 170 global partners for this top certification.
Founded in 2019, Smileshark provides full-cycle services from cloud strategy development to infrastructure construction and operational automation for startups and SMBs. The company supports rapid AWS adoption for early-stage companies through CDN cost discounts and cost optimization reports.
"Early-stage companies face difficulties with cloud operation and cost burdens," said CEO Jang Jin-hwan. "We will continue supporting SMBs in building cloud environments that allow them to focus on business growth."
2. Roboligent Challenges Physical AI Limits with Human-like Force Control
Robot company Roboligent is accelerating its push into the industrial robot market by combining flexible control technology with AI learning for humanoid robots.
CEO Kim Bong-su said the company developed Robin, a humanoid robot capable of delicate tasks such as plugging a mobile phone into an outlet, based on flexible control technology that precisely adjusts force upon contact with external objects.
Robin reduces collision impact force to one-tenth compared to same-sized robots by avoiding or absorbing shocks, enabling operation near humans. Roboligent is conducting proof-of-concept tests at logistics centers with a global retailer, targeting field deployment this year. The company is also pursuing defense industry entry through collaboration with one of the top four U.S. defense contractors.
3. Travel Platform with 1.6 Million Foreign Users Bets on K-Healthcare
Travel platform Creatrip has secured 1.6 million monthly users through a wellness tourism differentiation strategy and is expanding K-Healthcare services for foreign tourists.
"Foreigners have high trust in Korea's advanced medical technology and premium services," said CEO Lim Hye-min. "Traditional Korean medicine and specialized health screening packages will become major purposes for visiting Korea this year."
Beauty and medical sector transaction volume increased 71% year-over-year last year, while IV therapy and health checkup transactions surged 281% in the second half compared to the first half. Traditional Korean medicine clinic transactions jumped 89-fold.
Taiwanese users spent about half of their Creatrip payment transactions on medical tourism, while U.S. and Singapore users allocated approximately 25% to wellness tourism.
