Naver Corp. disclosed Wednesday that six C-suite executives, including CEO Choi Soo-yeon, purchased approximately 700 million won ($500,000) worth of company shares in open market transactions.
Choi acquired 786 shares valued at roughly 200 million won on Monday. Five other executives—Chief Data and Content Officer Kim Kwang-hyun, Chief Operating Officer Kim Beom-jun, Chief Financial Officer Kim Hee-chul, Chief Risk Officer Yoo Bong-seok, and Chief Human Resources Officer Hwang Soon-bae—each purchased shares worth approximately 100 million won.
Choi, who has emphasized responsible management since taking office, has accumulated roughly 700 million won in company stock purchases since her appointment. Including stock compensation, she now holds a total of 11,874 shares.
Naver announced a new three-year shareholder return policy during its fourth-quarter earnings release last year, including share buybacks followed by cancellation and cash dividends. The company reorganized its C-level leadership structure on March 1 to respond to rapidly changing global conditions in artificial intelligence agents, physical AI, and Web3, while pursuing new business models and strengthening corporate social responsibility.
