NHN Payco announced on the 10th that it has partnered with BGF Retail-operated convenience store chain CU to launch offline Payco point top-up and withdrawal services at stores nationwide.
With this service launch, users can now instantly deposit and withdraw Payco points in cash at CU stores across the country.
To use the service, users generate a barcode in the "Convenience Store Top-Up" menu within the Payco app, present the barcode at a CU store, and complete the top-up or withdrawal in cash. The maximum top-up amount per transaction is 100,000 won, while withdrawals are capped at 30,000 won, with a minimum withdrawal unit of 1,000 won.
Top-up fees are free, while withdrawals incur a 500 won fee. Charged Payco points can be used at online and offline Payco merchants, as well as at card merchants nationwide through Payco point card integration.
"With just a smartphone, anyone can quickly top up or withdraw cash at a nearby CU store, which we expect will greatly enhance financial convenience," an NHN Payco official said. "We will continue to expand various offline-linked services to provide convenient and useful offerings."
