South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT announced the results of a joint public-private investigation into a data breach at Coupang caused by a former employee.
Choi Woo-hyuk, Director General of Information Security and Network Policy at the ministry, disclosed the findings at the Seoul Government Complex in Jongno-gu on Monday.
The investigation analyzed 25.6 terabytes of web access logs containing 664.2 billion data records dating back to November 29 of last year. The probe found evidence that approximately 33.67 million user names and email addresses were exposed through Coupang's "Edit My Information" page.
