Korean game companies are rolling out major updates at the start of the year to attract customers.
According to industry sources on Monday, Netmarble has added new legendary heroes to its collection RPG "Seven Knights Revive." The newly added "Peerless Under Heaven" Lu Bu is a powerful area-of-effect damage dealer supporting physical attack decks, featuring the ability to resurrect with a certain percentage of health upon death and reset skill cooldowns upon resurrection. Also revealed was magic-type hero "Returning War Beauty" Xiao Qiao, a character useful for raids that players can obtain up to three of through in-game missions.
"Seven Knights Revive" officially launched on the Epic Games Store on Sunday and is now available for download. To celebrate the update, the game is running a Lunar New Year special summon event where players can summon heroes from previous versions of Seven Knights, along with a "Lunar New Year Combination Event" offering various rewards including the "Yui Seolbim Costume" upon completing in-game missions, and a "Lunar New Year Attendance Event" where simply logging in rewards players with hero summon tickets and shining skill enhancement stones.
Netmarble's "Seven Knights Idle Adventure" has also added new awakened heroes. This update introduces awakened hero "Time Pilgrim Vanessa" and legend hero "Fenrir." Additionally, until the 18th, players can enjoy the Valentine's Day-themed "Elise's Atelier Future Prediction Dungeon" event and the "Challenger Pass" offering generous rewards.
Nexon has implemented its Season 4 Episode 14 update for its online action RPG "Mabinogi Heroes" (known as "Vindictus" in Western markets). The new episode "Eternal Flame" follows the hero party searching for Erin's four great treasures as they fall into a trap set by a girl they meet in the Salt Desert. In the new raid battle "Where Sky and Earth Meet," players will fight "Uskias," the guardian of Caliburn. To celebrate this update, players who complete designated battles until the 19th will receive one "Sweet Chocolate Coupon" exchangeable for various items. Furthermore, through an exchange shop running until the 26th, players can trade for items including "Lovely Pink Avatar Dye Selection Box," "Pattern: Soft Sweet Chocolate," "Suspicious Potion," and "Premium Health Potion."
