U.S. President Donald Trump again dismissed speculation about his health.
Trump returned to the White House in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday morning after undergoing a routine dental checkup and physical examination at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland, Reuters reported on November 26 (local time).
"Just completed my Semiannual Physical Examination. Everything was perfect," Trump said on his social media platform Truth Social.
Trump will turn 80 after his birthday on June 14. He began his term as the oldest president in U.S. history at the time of inauguration and has faced persistent speculation about his health.
The White House announced in July last year that Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency after undergoing a comprehensive examination for leg swelling. Amid continued controversy over bruises on the back of his hand, some have also raised questions about his cognitive ability.
Trump underwent health checkups in April and again in October last year. The intervals were shorter than the typical annual checkup cycle for U.S. presidents, fueling doubts about his health, though each examination concluded that he had no issues performing his presidential duties.
