U.S. President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he had instructed the American delegation conducting ceasefire negotiations with Iran "not to rush to reach an agreement."
"The negotiations (with Iran) are proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
On the reasoning behind his instruction not to rush a deal, he asserted that "time is on our side."
He continued, "The (U.S.) naval blockade (against Iran) will remain in full force and full effect until an agreement is reached, certified and signed."
Finally, raising his voice toward Iran, Trump said the country "must understand that they cannot develop or acquire a nuclear weapon or nuclear bomb."
