A 107-year-old woman in China has gone viral on social media for maintaining smooth skin without ever using cosmetics.
According to Hong Kong's South China Morning Post (SCMP) on Monday, the story of Ding Guizhuan, 107, who lives in Zhejiang Province, is spreading across Chinese social media. In a recent health checkup, all of Ding's readings were within normal range. She showed no signs of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, or diabetes, conditions common among the elderly.
What draws particular attention is the condition of her skin. Despite never having used cosmetics or skincare products in her life, her face shows no age spots at all. Her daughter Chen Xingchao, 84, who lives with her, said, "My mother eats well, sleeps well, and always spends her days with a positive mind," adding, "Her memory is better than mine at 84."
Ding herself points to diet as her secret to longevity. She personally selects nutritious ingredients and has maintained a vegetarian diet for a long period. Accounts from neighbors who have met her in person are also circulating online. One internet user said, "Her skin is really good, her whole family is kind, and the grandmother diligently practices Buddhism." In front of the camera, Ding introduced herself as "the oldest person in our neighborhood" and offered viewers well-wishes for health and longevity.
