![Iran Vows Prolonged Resistance, Says Advanced Weapons Not Yet Deployed "Haven't even touched advanced weapons yet"...Iran's strong resistance, angered by Trump's remarks [US-Iran War] - Seoul Economic Daily International News from South Korea](/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwimg.sedaily.com%2Fnews%2Fcms%2F2026%2F03%2F04%2Fnews-p.v1.20260304.c33a6485bfdf416094145b8409201e01_P1.png&w=3840&q=75)
Iran signaled readiness for a prolonged conflict, suggesting it may deploy additional military assets as it enters a fourth day of armed response to U.S.-Israeli strikes.
Reza Talaeian-Nik, spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Defense, told state-run IRNA news agency on Saturday that Iran "can defend longer than the war plans declared by our enemies and has the capability to conduct offensive defense."
"We will not deploy all of our advanced weapons and equipment at the initial stage of the war," he added.
The remarks appeared to be a direct rebuttal to U.S. President Donald Trump, who said during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz the same day that "Iran has no navy and its air force has been neutralized."
Trump also claimed that Iran's "air detection capabilities and radar have been largely destroyed" and that its "missile stockpile is rapidly depleting."
Iran has maintained its retaliatory operations. From Friday night through early Saturday, Iranian forces struck the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia with missiles and drones and launched additional attacks toward Israel.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in a statement it had "initiated the 16th operation of 'True Promise 4' in retaliation for U.S. and Israeli aggression."
The IRGC warned that its "space force will strike key strongholds in occupied territories with multiple missiles and drones."
