Netanyahu: US, Israel Launch Joint Operation to Eliminate Iranian Regime Threat

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the United States and Israel have launched military operations to eliminate the threat posed by the Iranian regime, shortly after strikes on Iran on the 28th.

According to the Associated Press, Netanyahu added that the operation aims to "allow the Iranian people to determine their own destiny." Israeli officials described the operation as "a broad, coordinated joint operation with the United States that has been planned for several months, targeting the Iranian regime."

Israel's Defense Minister declared a national state of emergency, stating that preemptive missile strikes had been carried out against Iran. According to US and Israeli government officials, the United States also participated in the attacks on Iran. The strikes targeted key Iranian military facilities, government institutions, and intelligence assets.
