Lotte Department Store said on the 6th that it will hold its summer season event, "Lotte Town Summer Market," from the 16th to the 31st.
The Summer Market is being introduced for the first time this year. Following "Lotte Town Christmas Market," the retailer's signature winter content, it was newly planned to target the summer season. The event will be held on the arena lawn plaza at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, spanning approximately 400 pyeong (about 1,320 square meters).
In collaboration with Pokémon, which is marking its 30th anniversary, the space is themed "Pokémon Mega Festa 2026: Pokémon Starlight Paradise." An indoor dome shaped like a Poke Ball, measuring 25 meters in diameter, will be installed, along with a 12-meter-long waterway and an ultra-large media wall.
At outdoor container booths, various popular food and beverage brands will present about 40 limited-edition menu items created in collaboration with Pokémon. The event will operate entirely on an advance reservation basis, in consideration of visitor convenience and safety. Reservations will be available on the Lotte Department Store Mall and the Lotte On mobile app starting at 10:30 a.m. on the 7th and the 18th.
Lotte Department Store will also set up a large Pokémon pop-up store on the first-floor atrium of Lotte World Mall in connection with the Summer Market. The space will be themed as a utopia where Magikarp resides, and it will present Pokémon original products and "Magikarp, Weak but It's Okay" goods for the first time in Korea.
"Starting with our collaboration with Pokémon, the global IP marking its 30th anniversary this year, we will make this a regular summer flagship retail festival that offers customers an unforgettable, mystical spatial experience and special enjoyment every summer," a Lotte Department Store official said.
