Hyundai Wia held a Tech Week event at the research building of its Uiwang Research Center in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province, from the 20th to the 25th, the company said on the 27th.
Tech Week is an exhibition that showcases in one place the core technologies across all of Hyundai Wia's (011210) business areas, including thermal management systems, auto parts, robots, and defense.
Hyundai Wia designed this Tech Week so that visitors could experience next-generation technologies firsthand. In particular, it displayed a vehicle equipped with distributed heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) technology, allowing visitors to experience a future-oriented air conditioning system. HVAC is a system that provides optimal air by reflecting each passenger's body temperature and preferences through artificial intelligence (AI) and various sensors.
Hyundai Wia also invited science communicator Gwe-do to give a special lecture on the theme "The Story of How Curiosity Changed the World." On the final day, it held an Open Lab event with programs such as a "Robot-Making One-Day Class" for learning the basic principles of automobile drive components.
"This Tech Week, marking our 50th anniversary, was a meaningful occasion where all executives and employees looked back on the journey of technology Hyundai Wia has walked and shared together the direction we will move forward," a Hyundai Wia official said. "We will continue a culture of sharing our technologies with one another and growing together, crossing the boundaries of business divisions."
