SK Ecoplant said it held the "2026 Tech Open Collaboration" awards ceremony on the 15th at the Grand Walkerhill Seoul in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
The "Tech Open Collaboration" is an open innovation program operated by SK Ecoplant for startups in the artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor sectors. A total of 15 public, academic, and investment institutions participate as co-hosts, including the Innopolis Foundation, the Seoul, Chungnam, and Sejong Centers for Creative Economy and Innovation, the Seoul Business Agency, Hoseo University's Startup Leading University Project Group, the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, SK Securities, and Synergy IB Investment.
A total of six technologies were selected this time. The selected companies and technologies include Myongji University's "technology to enhance the efficiency of treating hard-to-decompose semiconductor wastewater," Seoul Dynamics' "autonomous driving robot for construction sites," Peekaboo Labs' "AI agent that reviews internal documents in natural language," Remobility's "electric vehicle battery fire suppression solution," Kicks Corporation's "movement data-based local life platform to boost occupancy rates at knowledge industry centers," and Deeping Source's "SEAL video anonymization solution for AI data security." These companies are expected to pursue joint research and development with SK Ecoplant and participating co-hosts, while also seeking commercialization after advancing their technologies.
Kim Young-sik, president of SK Ecoplant, who attended the awards ceremony, said, "We will actively support the excellent technologies discovered through the competition so that they can create value in actual businesses and on-site operations."
