Heungkuk Fire & Marine Insurance (000540.KS), a financial affiliate of Taekwang Group, has launched a partnership with GA Korea, a large general agency (GA), to strengthen financial consumer protection and internal controls. The move aims to prevent incomplete sales that may occur during the insurance product sales process and to enhance the rights and interests of financial consumers.
Heungkuk Fire said on the 14th that it had signed a "Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to Strengthen Financial Consumer Protection and Internal Controls" with GA Korea. Attending the signing ceremony were Heo Jae-pil, head of Heungkuk Fire's GA sales division, Joo Ki-young, chief consumer officer (CCO), and Byun Kwang-sik, CEO of GA Korea.
Through the agreement, the two companies decided to strengthen internal control processes for entrusted operations and to build a self-inspection system to prevent incomplete sales in the recruitment field. They also plan to open a hotline to prevent consumer complaints and enable rapid response, and to operate a "joint complaint response system" that allows joint cause analysis and immediate feedback when complaints arise.
In addition, the companies plan to expand the scope of cooperation by strengthening advance monitoring of high-risk product groups and jointly operating training programs for insurance planners.
"Cooperation with GA Korea, which possesses the nation's top-tier sales network, will serve as an important opportunity to raise the level of trust in the insurance sales field," a Heungkuk Fire official said. "Through thorough internal controls and preemptive consumer protection, we will create a financial environment where customers can make their choices with peace of mind."
