Hankook Tire & Technology (161390) said on the 14th that its "Brada Upcycling Series" won the gold prize at the "A' Design Award 2026," an international design competition.
The Brada Upcycling Series repurposes tire-forming inner linings into products such as furniture. Hankook Tire earned high marks for entries including "upcycle furniture" made with 3D printing that preserves curved layer textures, "upcycle brick" that recycles tire molds to create a "Kinetic Wall," and lifestyle "upcycle keyrings" produced through handcrafted processes. These products were created jointly with "Disco Lab," Seoul National University's Circular Design Laboratory.
Hankook Tire said, "We will pursue the recycling and resource conversion of various unused materials, while leading the future mobility era based on sustainable design innovation."
