Lotte Department Store said on the 13th that it will participate as an official partner in the UNESCO World Heritage Fund fundraising campaign led by the Justpeace Foundation, in conjunction with the 48th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee held in Busan.
Lotte Department Store signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Justpeace Foundation on the 10th of this month and agreed to join the campaign as an official partner. The Justpeace Foundation is a public interest foundation established based on copyright donations from global artist G-Dragon. It carries out various public interest projects, including solving social problems through art and nurturing talent in culture and the arts.
Lotte Department Store joined the campaign as a partner to promote the purpose of the World Heritage Fund and to draw customer empathy and participation in cultural heritage preservation activities.
Going forward, Lotte Department Store plans to present various fundraising campaigns together with the Justpeace Foundation to promote the value of protecting world heritage and to raise social interest in the cause. First, it will operate various customer participation programs at the Korea Pavilion cultural events of the World Heritage Committee, held at BEXCO in Busan from the 20th to the 29th of this month.
Customers who visit the event booth will receive transportation cards featuring a UNESCO limited-edition design, and the Lotte Department Store application will run a World Heritage quiz event through its "Shopping News" section. Customers who answer the quiz correctly will be offered K-beauty cosmetics as prizes.
