Musinsa established a Taiwan office on Monday, laying the groundwork for expanding its business in the region, the company said Tuesday.
Musinsa plans to create a dedicated organization and pursue a localization strategy to ensure a stable market entry. The company intends to expand its offline presence centered on Musinsa Standard by analyzing foot traffic and consumption patterns in key commercial districts. Musinsa aims to open 15 Musinsa Standard stores in Taiwan over the next five years.
According to Musinsa, revenue from its overseas-only online mall, Global Store, in the Taiwan region grew by an average of more than twofold annually over the three years from 2023 through last year. Among foreign tourists who visited Musinsa Store and Musinsa Standard stores in Korea last year, customers from Taiwan ranked third in number, the company said.
"This establishment of the Taiwan office is part of a roadmap to solidify Musinsa's influence in the global fashion market," a Musinsa official said. "Based on our platform-driven data competitiveness and online-offline operational capabilities, we will lead the global expansion of K-fashion."
