KakaoPay Securities has officially launched its "AI Earnings Call" service, which translates and summarizes overseas companies' earnings calls in real time, the company said Wednesday.
The artificial intelligence (AI) earnings call service translates the earnings presentations of overseas company executives into Korean in real time, with AI dividing the presentation into segments and summarizing the key points. Users can check the translation and summary on a single screen while following the main flow of the earnings presentation.
KakaoPay Securities focused on connecting the review of earnings information with investment action. Its flagship feature is the "floating player (PIP)," which displays video in a small window on the screen. When the earnings call screen is displayed in a small window, playback continues across all pages within the app.
The company explained that this allows users to listen to earnings calls while checking prices, charts, and the community, and even to proceed to trading. Users can also listen via background audio even after leaving the app.
A real-time price tracking function has also been applied. Each time an AI segment summary is displayed, it also shows the stock's price movement relative to the point when the earnings call began. This allows users to see at a glance how the stock price reacted while the presentation was underway. Segments with high volatility are marked separately, enabling users to identify statements to which the market reacted sensitively.
Features to improve translation quality have also been incorporated. KakaoPay Securities explained that it simultaneously processes translation and segment summaries as soon as it receives the live audio, reducing the time lag between the statement and its translation and summary. The company pre-analyzes the original earnings call text with AI to extract stock and financial terms, refining them into expressions familiar to domestic investors before applying them to the translation.
The AI earnings call service was expanded sequentially, starting with Nvidia in May. It is currently provided for the top 500 U.S.-listed stocks by market capitalization. KakaoPay Securities plans to expand the target to 1,000 stocks in late July. Anyone with associate membership or above who has completed registration can use the service.
"This is a service that helps anyone quickly and accurately understand the presentations of overseas company executives during earnings season and make investment decisions in a timely manner," a KakaoPay Securities official said. "We will continue to improve access to investment information so that all users can easily reach market information without any information gap."
