LIG Defense & Aerospace (LIG D&A), a defense company, is holding a photo exhibition honoring the sacrifices of Korean War veterans to mark its 50th anniversary.
LIG D&A said Tuesday that it is holding the "LIG D&A 50th Anniversary Korean War Veterans Tribute Photo Exhibition" at the special exhibition hall on the second floor of the War Memorial of Korea in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, through Aug. 12. The opening ceremony held that day was attended by LIG Chairman Koo Bon-sang and LIG D&A CEO Shin Ik-hyun, among others.
Held under the subtitle "Remember, Respect, Reconnect," the exhibition captures the history of LIG D&A and the company's footsteps in honoring veterans and conducting patriotic and veterans affairs activities.
The exhibition was organized in collaboration with Rami, a photographer of "Project Soldier" who works as a specialist in documenting veterans, and Shin Joong-hwan, a photographer based in Paris, France. Visitors can see the vivid and dignified images of veterans captured by the two artists.
"It is all the more meaningful to be able to convey our remembrance and respect for the heroes who made today's Republic of Korea possible," Shin said. "I hope many citizens will visit with their families and acquaintances to have a meaningful time reflecting on the noble dedication of the veterans."
