Fair Trade Commission Chairman Joo Byung-ki visited the Pyeongtaek plant of Maeil Dairies (267980) to review the company's exemplary cooperative practices with its distributors and to hear voices from the field.
Maeil Dairies said Tuesday that Joo and FTC officials visited its Pyeongtaek plant on Monday to tour its research and development facilities and inspect operations. Joo met with company officials, including Maeil Dairies CEO Lee In-ki, and distributor owners for a discussion, exchanging views on shared growth with distributors and ways to spread a culture of fair trade.

Maeil Dairies was first selected as one of the FTC's "Distributor Partnership Companies" in 2021 and has been named to the list for five consecutive years. To prevent disputes with distributors, the company has adopted and operates the FTC's standard distributor contract for the food and beverage sector, and it continuously monitors related matters through a dedicated department for cooperative partnership and fair trade.
"We will continue to work toward establishing a fair trade order with our distributors and achieving sustainable shared growth as a leading company in distributor cooperative partnership," a Maeil Dairies official said.
