Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) has launched large outdoor advertisements for its next-generation premium lineup, the "Micro RGB" TV, at landmarks in major cities worldwide, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong.
On Sunday, Samsung Electronics said it is running Micro RGB-based outdoor advertising at Shinsegae Square in Myeongdong, followed by Times Square in New York, Piccadilly Circus in London, and the Central Entertainment Building in Hong Kong.
Micro RGB is a next-generation display technology in which ultra-fine red, green, and blue (RGB) light source elements—each with a chip size of 100 micrometers (one-millionth of a meter) or smaller—independently emit light and color within a backlight structure.
The advertisement footage applies the "Micro RGB AI Engine Pro," released in April. The technology precisely controls numerous RGB elements and is used to achieve rich and vivid color reproduction.
In particular, the footage was produced in the form of a "Mega Crew" performance, a large-scale dance stage created in collaboration with world-renowned choreographer Sergio Reis.
The outdoor advertisements also prominently feature "Vision AI Companion," Samsung Electronics' integrated AI platform.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics said it will run the Micro RGB outdoor advertising footage, which began last month, through the end of this year, depending on the region.
