KB Securities said Friday that assets in its digital wealth management (WM) division have surpassed 15 trillion won. An additional 5 trillion won has flowed in over six months since the figure topped 10 trillion won in November last year.
Financial markets have recently seen a continuing "money move" phenomenon, in which funds that had remained in safe assets such as deposits and savings shift to investment assets. KB Securities said it led the growth of its digital WM assets by strengthening wealth management services centered on tax-saving products such as individual savings accounts (ISA) and pensions, in line with this trend.
The growth in ISA and pension assets was particularly notable. Asset sizes grew rapidly as investment demand from those seeking to use tax benefits and non-face-to-face inflows from senior customers managing retirement assets expanded.
KB Securities provides customized investment solutions by analyzing customers' asset status, investment tendencies and behavioral patterns within its mobile trading system (MTS). Through this, the company said it has expanded the assets of existing customers while also achieving results in reactivating dormant customers and attracting new ones.
Its flagship MTS, "KB M-able," also served as a major channel for asset growth. "Today's Kok," its real-time market analysis content, recently surpassed 23 million cumulative views, while "Prime PB," a dedicated organization for non-face-to-face customers, is expanding customer touchpoints by providing online investment consulting services.
KB Securities plans to strengthen its hyper-personalized wealth management services based on the next-generation information system it built earlier this year. Its strategy is to use customer behavior data to provide customized wealth management services suited to each client's investment tendencies and life cycle.
"Achieving 5 trillion won in asset growth in six months was thanks to our focus on providing investment solutions for customers' asset growth," KB Securities CEO Lee Hong-gu said. "We will continue to contribute to customers' asset growth through differentiated, data-based services and solutions."
