Ssangyong Engineering & Construction and Shindongah Construction have won small-scale housing redevelopment contracts in Seoul and Anyang, respectively.
Ssangyong Engineering & Construction said Tuesday it has been selected as the contractor for a small-scale housing redevelopment project in Changjeon-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The project involves building 292 apartment units and ancillary welfare facilities across six 20-story buildings in the area around 46-1 Changjeon-dong, Mapo-gu, with construction costs of 120 billion won. The site offers access to Sinchon Station and Gwangheungchang Station on Subway Line 2, as well as Daeheung Station on Line 6.
Ssangyong has previously secured contracts for the Hongeun-dong small-scale housing redevelopment project in Seodaemun-gu, the Siheung 5-dong Moa Town project in Geumcheon-gu, the Cheonho-dong small-scale housing redevelopment project in Gangdong-gu, and the Noryangjin Eunha Mansion area small-scale housing redevelopment project in Dongjak-gu.

Shindongah Construction won the small-scale housing redevelopment project in Bisan-dong, Anyang, Gyeonggi Province. The small-scale redevelopment project involves building two residential buildings and ancillary facilities in the area around 557-7 Bisan-dong, comprising 124 apartment units and 12 officetel units. The project budget is 50.4 billion won.
Shindongah Construction plans to apply a premium strategy by incorporating the specialized design of its apartment brand "Familie." "We will concentrate our order-winning capabilities on small-scale redevelopment projects and private-participation public housing projects to achieve solid growth," Shindongah Construction President Kim Se-joon said.
Shindongah Construction, which filed for court receivership in January last year due to a liquidity crunch caused by the construction industry downturn, received approval to conclude its rehabilitation proceedings in October of the same year, exiting court receivership in just nine months.
