Mega MGC Coffee is raising the prices of three of its "Halmega Coffee" beverages.
According to industry sources on Tuesday, Mega MGC Coffee will increase the prices of three Halmega Coffee drinks — Halmega Coffee, Wang Halmega Coffee, and Halmega Misut Coffee — by 200 won starting on the 19th of this month.
As a result, Halmega Coffee, currently priced at 2,100 won, will rise to 2,300 won. Halmega Misut Coffee will increase from 2,900 won to 3,100 won, and Wang Halmega Coffee will go up from 3,200 won to 3,400 won. The three Halmega Coffee drinks were also raised by 200 won each in April last year.
Mega MGC Coffee explained that the decision was made amid the continuous price increases of freeze-dried (FD) coffee, the main ingredient in these menu items. "This is a minimum price adjustment aimed at providing customers with high-quality coffee at reasonable prices, even as pressure from rising raw material costs intensifies," a company official said. "It is an unavoidable choice to preserve franchise profitability and maintain quality amid upward pressure on raw material prices driven by external factors such as war and exchange rates." The official added, "Compared with major competitors, our prices remain lower or at a similar level."
