KG Mobility's (003620.KS) flagship pickup truck Musso surpassed 10,000 units in cumulative sales just five months after its launch.
KGM said Musso, launched in January this year, recorded 6,642 units sold in the domestic market and 4,896 units in overseas markets through May, reaching cumulative global sales of 11,538 units.
In the domestic market, combined sales of the Musso and the previously launched Musso EV (3,718 units) totaled 10,360 units, giving the model a pickup market share of more than 86%. The figures cement the brand's standing as Korea's top-selling pickup for nearly 25 years, the company said.
KGM's pickup lineup offers a range of powertrain options, including gasoline, diesel, and electric (EV) models. Cargo space designed for diverse uses, from business to leisure, is also cited as a key strength. Available configurations include a standard deck with a 400-kilogram payload featuring a dynamic 5-link suspension, a 700-kilogram payload version with a power leaf suspension, and a long deck with a 500-kilogram payload using a dynamic 5-link suspension.
In the global market, KGM is diversifying its export channels with launch events in country after country, beginning with Turkey, a strategic hub.
"The Musso is a symbolic model that has led the history and expansion of the pickup truck segment in Korea," a KGM official said. "We will continue to introduce a diverse Musso lineup in step with strong leisure demand and the shift toward eco-friendly electrification, and will broadly showcase the strength of K-pickups on the global stage."
